Job Description:

Ideal for a recent Tech School graduate!

The Junior Technical Support Specialist provides a variety of support functions in both the field supporting company restaurants of all concepts as well as the company corporate office. The successful candidate will learn the functions of the hardware in all concepts, and will learn how to perform basic repairs and part swaps on site. 

***This is a fairly entry level position, but requires some field tech support experience. Position is not a desk job and requires lifting, climbing, cleaning of equipment, crawling under desks, and hands on equipment troubleshooting.***

This is a full time position with a competitive salary and benefits including health insurance and vacation. Position is based in Livingston NJ, but travel to company restaurants in the NY/NJ/PA area is required, so a clean valid driver's license is required.

 

Sample of Responsibilities include:

  • Performing Preventive Maintenance visits on the POS equipment at all concepts and locations on the East Coast
    • Providing a detailed written account of the results of each visit, including any needed follow up work
  • On-site T/S and repair of basic POS components to include:
    • Back Office Printers
    • Monitors
    • Receipt Printers
    • Cash Drawers
    • Cook Displays and Bump Bars
    • POS terminals
    • Keyboards, Mice, KVM switches
  • On-Site T/S and repair of other store technologies to include:
    • Digital Menu Boards
    • Store Wi-Fi WAPs and POE devices
    • Training Laptops and other devices
  • Provide support to the Company Corporate Office I.S. team to include:
    • Assist Hardware Technician with repairs, shipping and receiving
    • Assist Help Desk Administrator as needed
    • Run Daily Sales Reports as needed
    • Participate in Weekend on-call coverage after probationary training period
  • Other tasks as assigned by Manager of Information Systems
