JOB DESCRIPTION

As a key member of The Briad Restaurant Group, this position is responsible for all aspects of our help desk  including servers, desktop systems, communications hardware/software and office systems directly and/or remotely.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.  This position will be part of an on-call rotation at least once a month that will provide after-hours and weekend support.  Must be willing to travel out of state.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 + years of help desk & computer experience
  • CompTIA + Certification or work experience
  • Ability to work alone or in a team environment
  • Must have proficiency in time management and good organizational skills
  • Restaurant or Retail experience desired but not required
  • Demonstrated knowledge in support of network printers and photocopiers
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Acts as first and second level support to the field for Aloha, KMS and general IT issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues through discussions with users.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all communication with the field with Track-It helpdesk application.
  • Review call history to identify trends with support issues with supported systems and notify management of trends as soon as possible.
  • Provide constant follow-up with field with ongoing issues until a resolution has been found.
  • Support software, including, but not limited to:
    • Aloha Point-of-Sale (Table Service)
    • QSR Automation
    • Operating Systems: Windows 7 through 10, Windows Server 2008 through 2012
    • Office 2010 through Office 2016
    • Symantec Ghost
    • BMC TrackIt
    • Configuration Center & Command Center
  • Involvement with Aloha Configuration Center and database updating and maintenance.
  • Shipping and receiving of hardware repair items.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of supported POS hardware.
  • Involve Manager with all potential hardware and corruption problems that cannot be resolved.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend support to field.
  • Utilize to maximum efficiency all support tools and resources to provide excellent support to workstations and field.
  • Assist in gathering information for updating training and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Involved with maintaining file image libraries and the updating of all image files.
  • Prepares file servers and workstations for deployment.  Full configuration and testing.
  • Provide advanced technical support to all related desktop applications and desktop/laptop hardware and software issues
  • Basic Networking Skills (as in familiar with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, familiar with Ping command, etc)
  • Continuously find ways to improve support to corporate office and the field
  • Other duties as assigned
